FAQs

Why would this service be beneficial to a host office?

The average dental office can see an increase in production of around 10-13% if the current oral surgery referrals stay in house. With an efficient surgical team and proven mobile, this production can be handled on about 1-2 days a month. This adds valuable revenue and can be flexible to fit a current office schedule to better utilize unused operatories.

Is there a minimum number of cases we are obligated to have scheduled?

It is customary for our doctors to have a minimum production value. However, this value is doctor and contract specific. We are dedicated to working with the host office on the best scheduling tactics to optimally serve both the office and doctor.

Are there any contracts required?

Yes, a contract will be signed between the host office(s) and Mountain West Surgery and Sedation. Mountain West will provide doctors as independent contractors to fulfill the surgical need of the office. This contract lays out the structure of our partnership and the responsibilities that each party is responsible for. This contract will have an effective date but no designated termination. The host office is always retains their autonomy to terminate in our relationship.

What are the costs for an office to get started with MW?

The costs are associated with disposable surgical supplies and some ancillary equipment that the host office may not currently have such as IV poles and a wheelchair. The upfront costs range, depending on how equipped the office currently is, from $2,000 - $4,000 for an initial 50+ patients. However, the recurring costs are around $1,000.

How does front office training and scheduling work?

Mountain West will provide a training session for the entire office for scheduling, referring, documentation, and workflow. We have an innovative patient portal for pre-op documentation to alleviate the burden on the front desk and help with the scheduling process. We will also provide appropriate training for all host doctors to treat common post op complications. Please see our page on documentation for more info
